本考案は、ゴルフクラブにおけるフエースイン
サートに関するものである。、更に詳しくは、通
常ウツドと呼ばれているゴルフクラブヘツドの打
球面に装着する強化繊維材からなるフエースイン

された炭素繊維を強化材として含む複合材からな
るゴルフクラブのフエースインサートである。か
かるフエースインサートは適度な振動減衰特性を
有し、このフエースインサートを装着したウツド
クラブは、余韻ある打球音を発し、プレーヤーに

びABS樹脂、ポリアミド樹脂、ポリカーボネー
ト樹脂、ポリスルホン樹脂等の熱可塑性樹脂が使
用される。マトリツクス樹脂の含有率は30〜80容

実施例
強化材として繊維表面を0.2ミクロンの厚さの
ニツケルで被覆したアクリル系炭素繊維の平織物
(炭素繊維目付200g/m2)にマトリツクス樹脂と
してエピコート828(シエル化学社製)100重量部
に対しジシアンジアミド8重量部を混合してなる
樹脂組成物を含浸させ、このものを45枚積層して
180℃で1時間加圧、加熱処理してマトリツクス
樹脂を硬化させフエースインサート用平板を成形
した。この平板は厚さが9mmで樹脂含有率は50容
