Abstract

PURPOSE:To pass a wire or a cable smoothly through a long distance conduit without causing damage, by supplying Coanda flow toward an exit. CONSTITUTION:Cone bodies 6-8 having inclined inner faces are arranged at joints of conduits 1-4 having different diameters. A device 9 for producing Coanda spiral flow as a compression flow is mounted at the inlet of the conduit 1. A wire 5 is pulled by a winder 10 at the outlet of the conduit 4. Coanda flow is intensified through existence of the cone body 6 and fed continuously through the entire length of conduit. Consequently, passing of the wire 5 is not retarded by friction against the inner walls of the conduits 1, 2, 3, 4. Since Coanda flow of air, gas and the like producing Coanda effect is passed through the conduit to form a dynamic border layer near the inner face of the conduit, contact between the wire 5 and the inner face of conduit can be suppressed effectively.
