Abstract

PURPOSE:To make stable and high speed combustion of lean premixture gas to reduce NOx and CO by a method wherein a regular stable auxiliary flame is formed at a root part of combustion flame of high air ratio in a gas turbine burner of premixture combustion type. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary nozzle 15 is arranged around a main nozzle 14 for injecting lean premixture gas with an air ratio of more than 1. In case of operation of gas turbine, an auxiliary adjusting valve 40 is opened and auxiliary premixture gas is generated within an auxiliary premixing chamber 30. Then, premixture gas injected from the auxiliary nozzle 15 is ignited. An air ratio of the auxiliary premixture gas is preferably set at about 1 or 1.3 and an injecting speed is also less than 2.0m/s, so that ignition is positively performed and stable combustion is carried out. At this time, a stop valve 50 is kept closed, so that only air is injected from the main nozzle 14. A degree of opening of an adjusting valve 60 is gradually increased with a load signal of a turbine and the stop valve 50 is also opened. Then, premixture gas is generated within a premixing cylinder 16 and the gas is ignited by the auxiliary flame at the main nozzle 14.
