Abstract

PURPOSE:To search the arrival direction of a radio wave without requiring scanning operation, by two sets of antenna pairs composed of antennae having the same directional characteristic. CONSTITUTION:Delay circuits 1, 2 are inserted in the output system of one antennae A2, B2 with respect to the receiving outputs from two sets of antenna pairs A1, A2 and B1, B2. Subsequently, the antenna receiving outputs of the respective sets are synthesized by synthesizers 3, 4 and the powers of the synthetic waves are powers of the synthetic waves are normalized on the basis of the measuring power from a separately provided reference antenna C through a power measuring device 7 and the phase difference between two antenna receiving waves in each set is detected from said normalized power value by phase difference detectors 8, 9. Subsequently, two radio wave arrival directions are determined from said phase difference by direction determination devices 10, 11. Further, by ANDing the common direction out of two directions calculated in each set by an AND circuit 12, one direction is finally determined.
