Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain weld metal with few spatter and blowhole defects of galvanized sheet iron by using a solid wire with specific composition and CO2 gas as shielding gas to specify a welding current and a welding speed. CONSTITUTION:The solid wire used at the time of welding the galvanized sheet irons consists of, by weight, 0.05-0.13% C, 0.45-1.00% Si, 1.60-2.5% Mn and 0.10-1.00% Mo. Further, as necessary, the solid wire consists of one or >=2 kinds of 0.03-0.09% Ti, 0.010-0.030% S, 0.010-0.025% O and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. This solid wire and the CO2 gas as the shielding gas are used to perform welding under welding conditions of the welding current 80-200A and the welding speed 15-90cm/min. By this method, the welding with little quantity of generation of the spatter and few weld defects of pits and the blowhole can be performed.
