Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a matting process in image forming where an image layer on a photosensitive material is transferred to an image receiving sheet material and re-transferred to a permanent supporting body by specifying the adhesive strength between the image layer and the image receiving layer of image receiving sheet material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material A forms the image layer (a) which can be transferred and the image receiving sheet material B forms the image receiving layer (b) by providing an organic high molecular material on a supporting body. The image layer (a) is transferred to the image receiving layer (b), from which it is further re-transferred to the permanent supporting body C. At that time, the adhesive strength P1 between the supporting body of the image receiving sheet material B and the image receiving layer (b) and the adhesive strength P2 between the image receiving layer (b) and the image layer (a) which can be transferred are made stronger than the adhesive strength P3 between the supporting body of the photosensitive material A and the image layer (a). The image receiving sheet material B is used where the adhesive strength P4 between the permanent supporting body C and the image layer (a) and said P1 are stronger than said P2. Therefore, only the image layer (a) can be re-transferred without transferring the image receiving layer (b) of the image receiving sheet material B to the permanent supporting body C, whereby the matting process is made unnecessary and a color image can be improved.
