Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a solid electrolytic capacitor having preferable performance by winding two electrode foils through a separator, then forming mixture containing as main ingredients lead dioxide or lead dioxide and lead sulfate as a semiconductor layer, and impregnating the layer with conductive paste. CONSTITUTION:An anode foil having a dielectric oxide film and a cathode foil having conductivity are spirally wound through a separator on a valve operation metal. Then, a semiconductor layer made of mixture containing as main ingredients lead dioxide or lead dioxide and sulfate is formed on the anode foil. Thereafter, the layer is impregnated with conductive paste. Metal, such as tantalum, aluminum or niobium, etc., is employed as the metal having a valve operation. Thus, the number of impregnating the semiconductor may be once to obtain a solid electrolytic capacitor having preferable performance.
