Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent an ozone producer from being overheated by providing an air intake tube and an exhaust tube on a case of the ozone producer, and expanding an open part in the air intake tube and disposing the air intake tube facing a discharge side of a motor driven air fan, and further inserting the exhaust tube in the direction of an air stream into an air passage of the motor driven air fan, and controlling a high voltage generator in power supply and power interruption interlocking with the motor driven air fan. CONSTITUTION: Cold air cooled in a cooler 14 is supplied to an upper storage chamber 6 and a lower storage chamber 7 through a first air circulation passage 17 and a second air circulation passage 18. Upon cooling operation forced air from a motor driven air fan 16 is effectively pushed into an ozone producer 31 from an expanded open part 34a in an air intake tube 34 of the ozone producer 31, and is effectively sucked out from an exhaust tube 35 owing to negative pressure, and hence fan air from the motor driven air fan 16 effectively passes through the inside of the ozone producer 31. When power supply to the motor driven air fan 16 is interrupted and fan air to the ozone producer 31 is interrupted owing to opening of doors 81, 9 and starting of defrosting operation, power supply to a high voltage generator 32 is interrupted interlocking with the motor driven air fan 16, so that the ozone producer 311 is prevented from being overheated.
