Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the desilvering performance and sensitivity of a photosensitive material by incorporating a compd. which releases a bleaching accelerator into the photosensitive material having a layer consisting of an emulsion added with a specific sensitizing dye under prescribed conditions. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion layer which is added with the sensitizing dye expressed by formula I and is provided with >=50 deg.C temp. hysteresis at the time of the addition thereof or from the addition before coating is provided on the photosensitive material and further, the bleach accelerator release type compd. (e.g.: the compd. expressed by formula II) is also incorporated therein. In the formula, Z1 denotes O, S, etc.; Z2 denotes an atomic group forming thiazole, etc.; R1, R2 denote lower alkyl, etc.; R3, R4 denote H, etc.; V1 denotes H, etc., as well; V2 denotes an electron attracting group, etc.; V3 denotes the synonymous with V2, etc.; X<-> denotes a acid anion residue; (m), (n) denote 0, 1; V2 denotes a group which is cloven by reaction with a developing agent oxidant; L denotes a timing group, etc.; (p) denotes 0-3; Z denotes a group which exhibits a bleach accelerating effect when the bond with A-(L)p is cloven.
