Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to reduce the size and the weight of an anti-skid device by arranging a valve device switchable between connection and disconnection integrally with a liquid pressure regulating valve in a conduit connecting between a reservoir and a hydraulic pump. CONSTITUTION:A 4-port 4-position solenoid switching valve 6 is arranged in a conduit 10 connecting between a reservoir 11 and a hydraulic pump 21. When a brake is released, output port 63 of the switching valve 6 is blocked and brake liquid is discharged from a wheel cylinder 8a through the discharge port 61 of the switching valve 6 constructing a hydraulic control valve to the reservoir 11. When brake is tightened, the output port 63 of the switching valve 6 is communicated through, and the brake liquid is sucked from the reservoir 11 through the hydraulic pump 21 to produce pressure liquid which is fed to a wheel cylinder 8a. Since a check valve having forward direction from an accumulator or master cylinder 1 side toward the hydraulic pump 21 side is not required, number of parts of the entire device can be reduced.
