Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain excellent washing fastness, high temp. drying resistance, sterilization resistance and leak-proofness and to make ironing possible, by laminating polypropylene specific in the peak of a melting curve and the heat of fusion of a crystal to a cloth containing a hydrophilic fiber. CONSTITUTION:Cloth is composed of a fabric, a knitted fabric, a nonwoven fabric or felt capable of absorbing sweat or excretion of a human body and contains at least 25wt.% of a hydrophylic fiber. As the hydrophilic fiber, one composed of cotton, rayon, vinylon or nylon having a standard moisture rate of 3% or more is used. The polypropylene laminated to the cloth has such as characteristic that a melting curve measured by a differential scanning type calorimeter respectively has fusion peaks in a low temp. region of 110- below 130 deg.C and a high temp. region of 140 deg.C or more and heat of fusion of a crystal of 8-20cal./g. When said polypropylene has the fusion peak in the low temp. region but has no peak in the high temp. region, the obtained laminate does not withstand the high temp. of a dryer, ironing or sterilization and generates blocking. Contrarily, when the polypropylene has the peak only in the high temp. region, the laminate is inferior to washing fastness and leak-proofness.
