Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect the input stage of a receiver, by terminating a surge signal by a termination means at the time of receiving the surge signal whose level becomes a comparatively large level in a moment. CONSTITUTION:While a signal with a prescribed level less than an excessive input level is received, switches 2a and 2b are switch ed to (a) sides by interlocking. At this time, when a disturbance signal of excessive input level is inputted, a level detector 5 and a switch driving circuit 6 detect the level of the disturbance signal, however, a prescribed time is required for the switching of the switches 2a and 2b, thereby, the switches 2a and 2b are not switched instantly to (b) sides, then, the disturbance signal is inputted to a connection point 11 via the (a) side of the switch 2a and that of the switch 2b. The disturbance signal inputted to the connection point 11 is terminated by diode circuits 21 and 22, thereby, the disturbance signal of excessive input level can be prevented from being inputted to a high frequency amplifier 4. In such a way, it is possible to prevent the high frequency amplifier 4 from being damaged due to the disturbance signal of excessive input level.
