Abstract

PURPOSE:To inspect the entire surface of an article to be inspected, by mounting the article to be inspected on the pedestal provided on an intermittently rotating index table and rotating the same around the axis thereof by the continuous rotation of a turntable. CONSTITUTION:An article 3 to be inspected is sent in the feed pocket 9a of a start wheel 9 by a feed conveyor 8. This wheel 9 intermittently rotates in connection with an index table 1 to intermittently feed the article 3 to be inspected fed by the conveyor 8 in the inspection station 7 of the table 1. At the same time, the article 3 to be inspected after the finish of inspection is again discharged in the pocket 9a of the wheel 9 from the station 7 and a sorting apparatus 10 is driven corresponding to the sorting signal of the inspection part to discharge a good product by a good product discharging conveyor 11 and an inferior product is discharged by an inferior product discharge conveyor 12. The charge or discharge of the article 3 to be inspected to the station 7 is performed by pushing in or out the article 3 to be inspected between rollers 5 against the energizing force of the spring.
