Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the cycle deterioration due to the decomposition or the like of an electrolyte even if hydrogen is generated on a negative electrode plate by containing a material with the hydrogen absorbing capability in a negative electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:A material with the hydrogen absorbing capability is contained in a negative electrode material. Even is hydrogen is generated on a negative electrode plate by the uncharged portion when a positive electrode active material is charged, the negative electrode plate has the hydrogen absorbing capability, thus the gas based on the rise of the internal pressure of a battery is not discharged to the outside of the battery, and the cycle deterioration due to the decomposition or the like of an electrolyte can be prevented. The life performance in the charge and discharge cycle can be thereby improved.
