Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the maximum generating pressure by connecting the units of fountain pump for super-fluid helium each consisting of a filter and a heating part in series in multiple stages. CONSTITUTION:A filter 12, a heater coil 13, and a heat transfer face 14 are provided in the casing 11 of a fountain pump 1 to heat a helium. The fountain pump 1, a transporting pipe 3, and a heat exchanger 2 constitute each pump unit, which is connected in series on three stages. A multiple stage pump can select a required pump inlet temperature based on the total pressure loss of passages including a load and pumps. Thereby, the maximum generating pres sure of a helium feeding device can be made a desired high pressure.
