Abstract

PURPOSE:To make END-TO-END check without using a general-purpose measuring device and also dispensing with complicated work by utilizing the transmission and monitor systems mounted on a microwave landing system (MLS) apparatus. CONSTITUTION:At first a start signal is generated by a switch 14 to send a start signal to a dummy abnormal signal generating control means (controller 3) so as to start END-TO-END check. When the controller 3 receives the start signal to send a signal changed in the timing of a predetermined signal to a transmitter and antenna control part 5 and a dummy abnormal signal is generated for a predetermined time to be emitted from an antenna. The radiowave containing the dummy abnormal signal emitted from the antenna is picked up by a field monitor. The signal containing the picked-up dummy abnormal signal is sent to a monitor 6 while detected by detectors 7-9. The monitor 6 receives the dummy abnormal signal and, when a monitor system is normal, the dummy abnormal signal is judged to be abnormal to generate an alarm.
