Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain digital recording of image information and to improve the retrieving and storing characteristics of a recording medium by printing out an image to be the index of stored static image information on a part other than an information recording area of an optical card. CONSTITUTION:The image of an object 1 is formed on an image pickup element 3 by a photographing optical system 2 including a lens, an output from the element 3 is stored in a storing means 5 by an image pickup signal converting circuit 4 and the static image signal stored in the means 5 is recorded in an optical card 8 to be a recording medium as an RF signal. A recording device W for the static image is constituted of elements connected between the optical system 2 and a recording optical system 7. Elements connected between the optical system 7 and the circuit 4 constitute a primary recording device W1, a recording signal processing means 6 and the optical system 7 constitute a secondary recording device W2 and character information such as a photographing date and a photographing place can be also recorded by the primary recording device W1. Consequently, image information can be digitally recorded and the retrieving and storing characteristics of the optical card 8 to be a recording medium can be improved.
