Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen indicator which is usable even in a vacuum and is stable for a long period of time by using a specific compd. as a dye. CONSTITUTION:The indoaniline deriv. expressed by formula I is used as the dye. For example, the compd. expressed by formula II is used as the indoaniline deriv. expressed by formula I. More specifically, 40mg compd. expressed by formula II, 50g D-glucose, 40ml aq. 5N-NaOH soln., 40ml diethylene glycol and 100g silica gel are thoroughly mixed to obtain the oxygen indicator as the uniformly mixed blue powder. This oxygen indicator is colorless in the absence of oxygen and is usable even in a vacuum.
