Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an intake port from being exposed on an oil level by installing a partial notch in partition walls of an oil chamber partitioned off into plural parts, interconnecting them with one another, and installing a baffle plate to be opposed to the notch. CONSTITUTION:An oil pan 5 is installed below a transmission part 3 of a power unit 1, an oil chamber 6 is partitioned off into chambers 6a-6c by partition plates 7. An intake port 8 of a lubricating oil pump is opened to a central chamber 6b. A part of these partition walls 7 is set down to a notch, and a baffer plate is installed face-to-face on the suction chamber 6b. When a vehicle suddenly starts or stops, a wavy phenomenon in oil is produced and this oil tries to pass through the notch, but it collides with the baffle plate, thus such nonconformity that the intake port 8 of the pump is exposed on an oil level is solved.
