Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. which exhibits its initial strength by light irradiation without foaming and is suitable for coating materials etc., by mixing an active isocyanate group-contg. polyurethane oligomer, a hydroxyl group- contg., ultraviolet-curing org. compd. and a photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:A polyol having a plurality of OH groups in the molecule (e.g., polyester polyol) and a polyisocyanate (e.g., hexamethylene diisocyanate) are reacted together in such a manner that the active NCO in the polyisocyanate is in excess to the OH in the polyol to give an active polyisocyanate group- contg. polyurethane oligomer. This polyurethane oligomer is mixed with a hydroxyl group-contg., ultraviolet-curing org. compd. (e.g., 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate) and a photopolymn. initiator (e.g., benzoin methyl ether) to give the object photo-setting polyurethane compsn.
