Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a three-dimensional object model is inputted by an object model input part 1, an object recognition procedure generating part 2 describes a visible state from each line of sight direction, based on this three-dimensional object model and generates a recognition procedure. In the generated recognition procedure, to each node of a tree structure, the number of effective line of sight directions in which a feature element for constituting them can be understood is added. An object recognition processing part 6 executes a recognition processing with respect to the recognition procedure expressed by the tree structure, extending from a high level to a low level, and also, in order of a large number of effective line of sight directions. Therefore, the success probability of the recognition processing in each node is high, and accordingly, the recognition processing can be executed efficiently.
