Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a transformer small-sized and light, to reduce a loss and to enhance the insulation reliability by a method wherein a high-voltage winding and a low-voltage winding which are divided into two parts are inserted into a toroidal core which is divided into two parts and these are bonded and connected. CONSTITUTION:A toroidal core 1 is divided into two semicircular-shaped parts; concentrically arranged semicircular-shaped toroidal coils are wound on their respective cores as low-voltage windings 2 and high-voltage windings 3 from an inner side. The high-voltage windings and the low-voltage windings 2, 3 are wound on an insulating tube 4 by using a superconductor. The divided cores 1 are bonded at bonding parts 5; the high-voltage windings and the low-voltage windings 2, 3 are connected in parallel; high-voltage leads 6 are extracted from the high-voltage windings 3 and low-voltage leads 7 are extracted from the low-voltage windings 2. A combination of the semicircular toroidal cores 1 and the windings 2, 3 is obtained by inserting the windings 2, 3 along semicircular axes of the cores 1. If the iron cores and the windings are formed in this manner, it is possible to obtain a superconducting transformer which is equivalent to a single-phase transformer where a highvoltage winding and a low-voltage winding are wound in parallel on two legs of a core-type H-core iron core.
