Abstract

The dial substrate 1 having the painting layer 2 is set to the main body frame 9 of an ultrasonic processing machine and, when compressed air is introduced from an air port 8 to allow a cylinder 6 to fall, the carved surface 5A of a pattern mold 5 is closely brought into contact with the painting layer 2. By applying an ultrasonic wave to a horn 4 from an ultrasonic wave generator 4A in this state, the pattern of the carved surface 5A is transferred to the painting layer 2.
