Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily analyze the cause of a fault by collecting a program execution history while allowing an executed instruction to correspond to state information following the execution of the instruction at the rate of 1 to 1. CONSTITUTION:At the time of ending the reading of an execution history from a trace memory 11, the contents of an address counter 13 are returned again to the initial value obtained at the time of starting tracing, the supply of counter pulses (p) is started and a signal DIR for specifying reading operation is supplied to a trace memory 12. Consequently, traced state information is read out from the trace memory 12 as an execution history and transferred to a reader through a data bus DB. Thereby, the contents of the program counter 1 read out from the trace memory 11 as the execution history completely corresponds to the prescribed state information read out from the trace memory 12 about its reading order. Consequently, a fault generating cause can be analyzed while allowing both the contents to correspond to each other.
