Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a free fatty acid in high precise and sensitivity, by reacting a substance other than straight-chain fatty acid with coenzyme A and acylcoenzyme A oxidase and measuring the change after the reaction. CONSTITUTION:A free fatty acid other than a straight-chain fatty acid is reacted with an acylcoenzyme A synthetic enzyme in the presence of adenosine 3-phosphoric acid and coenzyme A to provide an acylcoenzyme A, which is reacted with an acylcoenzyme A oxidase at pH6.0-8.5 to oxidize the acylcoenzyme A and peroxidase, takarase, etc., is added to the resultant H2O2 to provide a pigment, which is then subjected to colorimetric determination.
