Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the desilverization of the titled material with rapidity, and to prevent the generation of a magenta stain by processing a titled material contg. a specified magenta coupler while keeping the silver concn. of a final bleach-fix bath to the prescribed concn. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contg. one or more kinds of a specified magenta coupler shown by formula I is color-developed, and then carried out a bleach-fix processing by a counter-current process by using the bleach-fix bath. And, said processing is carried out while keeping the silver concn. of a bleach-fix bath contg. in the final bleach-fix bath among two or more continuous said baths to <=80% that of the 1st bath. The bleaching agent usable for said processing is exemplified by the ferric complex salt of an org. acid, and may be used in a combination with a prescribed bleaching accelerator. And, in the formula, Z is a nonmetal atomic group necessary for forming a heterocyclic ring contg. nitrogen atom, X is hydrogen atom or a group capable of releasing by allowing to react with the oxidant of a developing main agent, R is hydrogen atom or a substituting group. The concrete example of the coupler shown by formula I is a compd. shown by formula II, etc.
