Abstract

PURPOSE:To substitute one of slave stations for a master station when the master station is faulty by giving the same constitution to the master station and slave stations and always transmitting state data reporting data of each slave station and normal operation reporting data of the master station from the master station. CONSTITUTION:A master station 1 and slave stations 2A-2N have the same constitution but are different in ROM program for data transmission processing from each other. Each slave station is provided with a counter whose time of expiration is longer than the cycle of master station normal operation report transmitted from the master station 1 at intervals of a certain time and is different from those of counters of the other slave stations, and this counter starts counting after being cleared each time when the slave station receives the master station normal operation report, and the slave station executes the function of the master station 1 when the counter expires, and then, slave stations where times of expiration of counters are shorter are more preferentially substituted for the master station 1 successively. Thus, the slave station having the highest priority level automatically executes the function of the master station 1 instead of the master station 1 if the normal operation report of the master station 1 is not transmitted to slave stations 2A-2N because of the occurrence of trouble in the master station 1.
