Abstract

PURPOSE:To magnify the automatic adjustable range of the correction of the deviation of an optical characteristic such as a white balance, by reading the correction value at every scope from a memory means in an apparatus main body when a scope is connected to the apparatus main body and amplifying and controlling a CCD output signal using a control means to perform correction. CONSTITUTION:When a scope 1 selected in matching relation to an object to be diagnosed is connected to a main body 2, a control value mounted at every scope is read from a ROM 37 and photographed by the CCD 8 at the leading end part of a scope 1 and the image signal amplified by an amplifier 9 is transmitted to a CCU 4 and extracted as unseparated amplitude modulation signal of (B+R), (B-R) by a BPF 17. This signal is amplified and controlled according to the control value held in a latch 38 by a digital control amplifier 39 and separated into amplitude modulation signals of R and B by an one- scanning line delay wire 18, an adder 19 and a subtractor 22. The signals after separation reaching a white balance circuit 40 are set to an adjustable level range by attenuators 21, 24 for B- and R-color signals and, therefore, a white balance can be adjusted in said circuit 40.
