Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain dispersant coated ceramic powder by applying ultrasonic waves to a suspension prepd. by dispersing flocculated ceramic powder in a dispersant-contg. dispersion medium to disperse the powder as primary particles and by evaporating the dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION:A dispersant selected among surfactants and polymer dispersants is added to a dispersion medium and flocculated ceramic powder is dispersed in the dispersion medium to prepare a suspension. Ultrasonic waves are applied to the suspension to disperse the powder as primary particles by deflocculation and then the dispersion medium is evaporated. The surface of the ceramic powder is coated with the dispersant. The coated powder does not reflocculate for a long time and gives a high density sintered body when sintered at a low temp.
