Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the decoding of enciphered data difficult by modifying the keys of a block encipherment device for each block. CONSTITUTION:The following two are provided: a data encipherment means 20 which divides data to be enciphered into certain blocks and block-enciphers the data by means of keys that are data for the encipherment, and a key encipherment means 30 which block-enicphers the data to be the keys by using a fixed master key for each division. The data encipherment means 20 uses the data that varying in each block generated by the key encipherment means 30 as keys. Therefore, the keys for the block encipherment are in values that vary for each block, hence the decoding of enciphered data is made difficult.
