Abstract

The fixing system for a timepiece balance spring comprises a fixing element, for securing the outer end of the spring. It is in the form of a flat plate perpendicular to the balance axis. This plate has a stamped U-shaped fixing ear, with the arms of the U extending parallel to the balance axis and perpendicular to the plane of the outer end of the spring. Pref. one of the arms (15) of the U-shaped fixing ear has an hole through which the end of the spring passes, the other arm (14) acting as of stop face for the end of the spring. Alternatively, both arms have holes for the end of the spring, which is held in place by a pin pushed into oen of the holes.
