Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare easily an optical transmitting fiber with broad transmission band, consisting of light channel with high refractive index in the central portion and reflection layer with low refractive index therearound, by heating a composite glass tube made of a specific quartz glass to thereby making into a composite glass rod simultaneously with spinning thereof.
