Abstract
PURPOSE: A vessel containing therein a sample is put in an inner tube of good thermal conductivity which is dipped in a metal bath in a metal bath tank and has an ignition source at its opened top and the sample is subjected to thermal decomposition with heating of the metal bath, whereby the measured value of flash point of good reproducibility is obtained quickly.
