Abstract

PURPOSE: High purity methylmethacrylate dimer is prepared by washing the fraction, obtained by vacuum distillation, with an aqueous alkali solution after the impurities having low boiling points are removed with flash distillation from the still residue of crude methylmethacrylate purification process by the acetonecyanhydrin method.
