Abstract

PURPOSE:To check a temperature rise in a separator plate as well as to prevent any burnout from occurring, by making lubricating oil for cooling use flowable along the separator even in a state of a disc plate and the separator plate being contacted with each other. CONSTITUTION:When a hydraulic servomechanism operates, disc plates 16A and 16B as well as separator plates 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D are all pressed down to one after another whereby a frictional engagement device 14 becomes heated by friction due to the engagement between a rotating plate and a stopping plate and a flow of lubricating oil between plates is intercepted in consequence. However, the flow of lubricating oil passing through clearance grooves 11C and 11D and a through hole 15 of these separator plates 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D is secured and thus cooled.
