It has a cylindrical joint body that is attached to the pipe to be connected and is formed by a plurality of divided bodies divided in the circumferential direction, and the joint body has the to-be-connected body on the open end side and the center side of the inner surface of the joint body. An end protrusion and a central protrusion are respectively provided to abut on the outer circumferential surface of the pipe, and the inner diameter gradually decreases toward the open end between the end protrusion and the central protrusion on the inner surface of the joint body. A tapered groove is formed, and an inner surface of the tapered groove is supported by a backup ring to prevent the connected pipe from being pulled out. A gasket groove is formed between the pipe and the annular gasket, and an annular gasket is mounted in the gasket groove to be in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the pipe to be connected.
