Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an equipment, such as a microphone, follow up a sound source body by spherically arranging sound-recceiving single bodies each generating an output corresponding to the volume of a sound generated by the moving sound source body, and by detecting the position of the sound source body from the position of the sound-receiving single body which senses the sound most intensely. CONSTITUTION:A position detector 1 has many sound-receiving single bodies 2, detecting a sound, on the surface of a spherical body 3, and cylindrical bodies 4 which extend radially is provided to each sound-receiving single body 2 to make respective sound-receiving single bodies 2 independent of one another. Each sound-receiving single body 2 senses a sound to output an electric signal which corresponds to its sound volume, and an unidirectional microphon, etc., is used. The output of each sound-receiving single body 2 is sent to a multiplexer 6, which processes the input by A/D conversion 7 to supply the result to a microcomputer 8. This microcomputer 8 is connected to a pulse motor 10 driving equipment 9 and an angle encoder 11.
