Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate operation and to prevent fruitless power consumption by placing a VTR in a stop mode by a channel selection signal when a channel is selected during VTR reproduction. CONSTITUTION:The emitter of the transistor (TR) 4a of a gate circuit 4 connected to a channel-selection state detecting circuit is held at a low level during channel- selecting operation, and to the base, a high-level signal is supplied through a resistance 4b during reproduction. Therefore, the TR4a turns on during the VTR reproduction only when some channel of a television receiver is selected. At this time, a voltage at the terminal (b) of a block 5a drops, so an overcurrent flows through a resistance 5c to intercept the output voltage of a constant-voltage power source circuit 5 consisting of TRs 6a and 6b, resistances 6c, 6d and 6e and part of the block 5a. This interception is detected by a VTR-side circuit composed of a resistance 7a, capacitors 7b and 7c, a resistance 7d, and a capacitor 7e to reset a microcomputer 8a, which exercises control so that the VTR is in stop mode.
