Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a rotation angle so that its linearity is satisfactory, by providing a slot tooth on a stator and a rotor. CONSTITUTION:On the circumferential side of a rotor 4, a slot tooth consisting of a groove part 4a and a projecting part 4b is formed. Also, on each magnetic pole 1A, 1B... of a stator 1, as well, a slot tooth having a pitch almost corresponding to that of the tooth of the rotor is formed. The correspondence relation of the teeth 4a, 4b of the rotor 4 and teeth 1a, 1b of each magnetic pole of the stator 1 is constituted so that a mechanical phase shift corresponding to 1/2 pitch is generated in the respective magnetic poles making a pair. Also, between the respective magnetic pole pairs, a mechanical phase shift being below 1/2 is generated. When an energizing AC signal is applied to 2A, 2B... from an oscillator, a rotary signal is obtained from each secondary winding 3A, 3B... wound round the magnetic poles 1A, 1B... making a pair.
