Abstract
PURPOSE:To rapidly remove air bubbles, being unnecessary to discharge of ink drops, out of a head and to prevent ink from being discharged in a poor manner, by a method wherein a slope surface, which moves air bubbles, produced in a relay chamber, to an ink feed-out port at a possible fast speed, is formed in the relay chamber. CONSTITUTION:A slope surface is formed on a part of an upper wall surface 6a of a relay chamber 6 to move air bubbles in the relay chamber 6 along the slope to a part in the proximity of an ink feed-out port 4a to feed it out to a drain pipe 4. This prevents a poor discharge caused due to air bubbles remaining in the relay chamber 6, improves a discharge responsiveness, a discharge efficiency, and a discharge stability of ink, and this permits the long assurance of an ink recording which is conducted at a high speed and in a steady manner and a good quality.
