Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a connector and to reduce its cost while facilitating the engagement of a rotation stopper, by forming wedges in the diameter direction of one end surfaces of the connector. CONSTITUTION:A fiber cord 18 is inserted into and fixed in an equipped ferrule 16, and wedges are formed in the radius direction of one end surface of a rotation stopper 25 having projection parts 25' preventing the ferrule from rotating. A receptacle 26 engaged with the said plug is also provided with a rotation-stopper receiver 31 in a similar shape, so they are engaged with each other without being positioned. Therefore, the structure is simplified and assembly is facilitated. Further, since the ferrule 16 is made of metal by precise work, high precision is obtained and since the rotation stopper 25 is made by plastic molding independently, its cost is reduced.
