Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain himidity which is compensated by temperature and temperature compensated by himidity, by connecting a parallel circuit of a fixed resistor element and a fixed capacitor element to a solid state temperature and humidity sensing element, and applying AC signals having two different freuqnecies on said circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output frequency of an osicllator 1 is a high frequency so that the capacity value of the solid state temperature and humidity element 4 does not have humidity dependence characteristics and the impedance value due to the element capacity is sufficiently smaller than the resistance value in the range of measurement. The output frequency of a frequency divider 2 is a frequency so that the impedance due to the capacitor in the sensing element 4 is sufficiently lower than the resistance value of the element. The outputs of the oscillator 1 and the freuqnecy divider 2 are alternately applied to the sensing element 4 via selecting circuit 3. A divided voltage V0 at a point P is converted into DC by a rectifier 5, held at a holding circuit 6, and converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 7. Then specified computation is performed, and the humidity which is compensated by the temperature and the temperature which is compensated by the humidity are obtained.
