PURPOSE:To keep a developing chamber at a temperature necessary for developing, by changing over a heat quantity to be emitted with a heater after reaching a prescribed temperature from an initial heating quantity, and continuously supplying a constant power suitable for keeping a necessary temperature. CONSTITUTION:A heater 1 and a heat controller 2 for controlling a heating quantity are provided, the controller 2 receives a temperature detection signal from a temperature detector 3 for detecting the temperature of the inside of a developing apparatus, and controls the heating quantity per unit time. When the detector 3 detects that the inside of the developing apparatus reaches the given temperature, the controller 2 is changed over to a heating quantity per a unit time suitable for maintaining the given time, thus permitting the temperature of the developing chamber to be kept at a temperature necessary for developing.
