Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the refresh information and to improve the quality of a received picture, by sending the refresh information to a wrong block from a transmitter only when an error is detected by a receiver when the band compressed code of a TV signal is transmitted. CONSTITUTION:The TV signal supplied from a terminal 1 is applied to an A//D converter 21 of a transmitter 2 as well as to a timing pulse generator 20. Then the signal digitized by the converter 21 is coded by dividing the relative information with each block through a quantizing circuit 24, a selector 26, a coding circuit 27, etc. and adding the information which is divided with each block. The signal decoded by the transmitter 2 and divided each block is applied to a buffer memory 38 of a receiver 3 via a transmission line 5 and decoded by a decoding circuit 37 to be delivered from a D//A converter 31. When an error is detected at the receiver 3, the refresh request is sent to the transmitter 2 from a refresh request signal generating circuit 39 via a transmission line 6. The refresh request is applied to the selector 26 and the circuit 27 through a refresh control circuit 29 of the transmitter 2. Then the refresh information is sent from the transmitter 2.
