Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the durability of a dust boot attached to the portion where the end of push-pull cable used for the remote control of a machinery goes in and out by installing a tube having an inner volume equal to the amount of air increased or decreased in the dust boot thereby preventing its deformation by air.
CONSTITUTION: In a terminal device for attaching the end of a push-pull cable A used for the remote control of the machinery in a car etc. to the operating device of a speed changer etc., a dust boot P' made of corrugated rubber film expands or contracts with the push-pull motion of an inner cable K. An air vent tube 3' with a sufficient inner volume corresponding to the amount of the breathing air is attached to the lower side of the boot base to eliminate the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the boot thereby preventing the excessive deformation and subsequent damage to the boot while maintaining it dust-proof and water-proof function.
