Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve washing effect, make heat treatment uniform and improve the quality of treating objects by connecting a vacuum evacuating device, an inert gas supplying device and a heat treating agent supplying device to a heat chamber and performing washing and heat treatment in the heating chamber successively. CONSTITUTION:Gaseous nitrogen is supplied from a gaseous nitrogen vessel 18 into a heating chamber 2, and is kept under high pressure. Treating objects 14 are transferred from an insertion table 15 into the chamber 2. The inside of the chamber 2 is evacuated to the highest possible vacuum with a vacuum pump 23, and the objects 14 are washed under heating with heaters 1. Thence, gaseous nitrogen is supplied into the chamber 2 and is kept under high pressure. The temp. is raised up to prescribed temps. by the heaters 1 to heat the objects 14. If necessary, a carburizer, a nitriding agent or gaseous oxygen is suitably supplied from a heat treating agent supplying device 21, whereby the objects are heat-treated. Next, the objects 14 are conveyed to a post-treatment cooling chamber 6 and immediately its inside is evacuated to a vacuum and is substituted with gaseous nitrogen, whereby the objects are cooled. The objects are subjected to oil hardening in a hardening oil vessel 5 according to need.
