Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a transformer by oscillating at a switching circuit by a modulated pulse signal and synchronizing it with the pulse signal via a high frequency transformer and rectifying it. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit SW is controlled ON or OFF by pulse width signals 10, 11 modulated by the high frequency for the fundamental signal (2), and a voltage (V1) is obtained for the primary coil n1 of a high frequency transformer T. Switching elements S1-S4 connected in anti-parallel are synchronously rectified by the pulse signals 12, 13 synchronized with the pulse width signals 10, 11, thereby producing an AC output voltage (V2), and is further smoothed via a low pass filter LPF, thereby producing an output voltage (V3). In this manner, the size of the high frequency transformer and the low pass filter can be reduced.
