Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a titled device and obtain stable dust collection efficiency by converting part of the concd. gaseous SO2 obtained by a desulfurizing device connected to the downstream duct of an electrostatic dust precipitator, and injecting the same to the upper stream of the upper stream duct of said precipitator. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas produced in a boiler 1 passes through a denitrating device 4 and an air preheater 5, and enters an electrostatic dust precipitator 6. The concn. of the SO2 in the waste gas of this time is about 910ppm if the sulfur content in coal is 1%, and that of SO3 is about 4ppm. The waste gas past the precisitator 6 and an induced draft fan 7 flows into a desulfurizing device 8, where it is removed of about 95% SO2. After this gas is removed of dust with a bag filter 10, it is released into the atmosphere through a chimney 2. The SO2 in the device 8 is desorbed by a desober 11 for an adsorbed gaseous SO2, to 10-20wt% concns. This SO2 is recovered as single substance sulfur by a sulfur recovery device 12.
