Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture, to obtain response at high speed and to enable lengthening by forming an amorphous magnetic substance thin-film layer consisting of a Tb-Fe alloy having a mangetic compensation temperature point within a specified temperature range onto a light transmitting substance substrate. CONSTITUTION:The element 1 is manufactured in such a manner that the amorphous magnetic substance thin-film layer 3 composed of the Tb-Fe alloy having the magnetic compensation temperature point within the temperature range of 0-200 deg.C onto the light transmitting substance substrate 2 in soda glass, etc. through a sputtering method, etc. A reverse bias magnetic field is applied to the thin-film layer 3 in an extent that the coercive force of vertical magnetization does not expire, radioactive heat is given by means of a lamp for a heat source such as a halogen lamp, a magnetic change is brought about to the Tb-Fe alloy according to the quantity of reflected heat corresponding to picture information, and the picture information is recorded to the thin-film layer. When reading, laser rays are scanned by means of a rotary polyhedral mirror, the laser rays, a plane of polarization thereof changes, are reflected by the thin-film layer 3, and the diffrence of the planes of polarization is read by a ray receiving section, thus obtaining the picture information.
