Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a thermal deformation of a barrel body of a condensor caused by in-flow of bypassing steam by a method wherein a cooling means is arranged in a turbine bypass pipe as a double pipe structure near an open end of the condensor of a turbine bypass pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Bypass pipe 11 is branched in the middle of a pipe 7 for guiding steam produced from a high pressure turbine 2 to a low pressure turbine 8 through a pipe 4 and a boiler 1, and a leading end of the bypass pipe 11 is connected to a condensor 9 through a temperature reducer unit 12. The temperature reducer unit 12 is composed of an inner cylinder having a nozzle 15 at the leading end of the pipe 11 opened and an outer cylinder 17 arranged the inner cylinder with a clearance 16 thereagainst, and the condensed water is guided into the inner cylinder as a cooling water through the pipes 14, 14a branched from the condensed water pipe 10 and through an injection hole 21. Into the clearance 16 in the outer cylinder 17 is similarly guided the condensed water through pipes 14, 14b to cool the inner cylinder, thereafter the water is injected into the condensor 9 at the spray hole 20. The steam injected into the inner cylinder and cooled therein is discharged into the condensor 9 at the discharging hole 22.
